In December 2014 his first book was published "The Procurement Value Proposition; the rise of supply management", (www.koganpage.com/PVP) written with Prof Robert Handfield (Bank of America University Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management at North Carolina State University). The book provides a comprehensive analysis of the unique value proposition offered by contemporary procurement and its impact on business objectives.
He has also produced articles for industry publications including Supply Business, Financial Director and Procurement Leaders. He is a leading authority on strategic procurement and works with senior executive teams across the world on its application.
Gerard was until recently a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at Curtin University in Perth, Australia, a Visiting Fellow at Cranfield School of Management and a member of the Logistics and Operations Management Board of Cardiff Business School.
