Our concepts of Consciousness and Psychic Phenomena, Experiences and Abilities have naturally been shaped by personal experiences, Science and Philosophy. But there's a more pervasive influence on our perceptions, conclusions and beliefs about psi, spirits, mind and consciousness: what we read, listen to, watch and otherwise experience in entertainment and news media, what's published, what's on the web, and generally in pop culture and folklore.
In this presentation, Loyd Auerbach will provide us with a look at a range of sources of ideas of Psi and Consciousness with some insights from his own particular lifelong addiction: science fiction, movies, TV and comic books, the latter becoming more and more prevalent in modern popular culture.
