Market transaction processes are evolving in Europe, specifically among the Nordic countries. Denmark and Norway have decided to create a Central Data Hub to perform all customer and electricity market participant transactions through a single entity. This is a huge innovation as well as change for the energy markets in these countries. Other countries are soon to follow.
These data hubs have to aggregate and clean metering data as well as create interfaces that allow retailers, services providers, and consumers to use the data. They must balance energy demand and supply on a broad scale — so they need to manage market settlements, considering that smart meter rollouts are not yet complete in all parts of country (yielding a diversity of meter data types, from a variety of distribution system operators). In this webinar you will learn:
Why attend this webinar:
1. Know why central data hubs are important for the evolving energy markets in Europe
2. Understand what will be the challenges in the next 3-5 years for market operations
3. Know how will customers benefit from the new market transactions models
