Tom Gillis, CEO at Bracket Computing
Tom Gillis has built a highly successful career working at tech start-ups and the larger companies that have acquired them. Currently, Mr. Gillis is CEO of Bracket Computing, a start-up that he co-founded with the goal of allowing enterprise workloads to run securely across hybrid cloud environments with a single set of advanced security controls. Previously, Mr. Gillis was VP/GM of the Security Technology Group at Cisco. Prior to that, he was part of the founding team of IronPort Systems. Mr. Gillis has had the good fortune to experience many ups and downs on the tech roller coaster, ranging from a successful multi-billion dollar IPO to financing a seed company in the ashes of the dot com collapse. He currently serves on the board of Menlo Security and as a venture advisor to Allegis Capital.
Adam Mattina, Vice President at The Blackstone Group
Mr. Mattina is a Vice President in the Information Risk & Security Group at Blackstone where he manages Insider Threat, Identity Access Management, and Security Awareness programs. Additionally, Mr. Mattina leads technical due diligence on select investment opportunities for the firm. Prior to his current role, he managed recruitment, training and operations of a global team of the foremost information security experts within the United States Department of Defense. Mr. Mattina has designed strategic planning and data aggregation tools to solve large-scale organizational problems. He is a trusted advisor on topics of risk assessment, emerging technologies and data analytics. Previously, Mr. Mattina was a Senior Sales Engineer for a cloud services company and designed, implemented and managed data center operations for a hosting provider. Mr. Mattina earned an MBA at George Washington University and graduated with honors from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is an adjunct faculty member at Stevenson University in the graduate program for Cyber Forensics and serves on the program advisory board. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and has held various vendor-specific certifications.
