The Supply Chain in Action: From Dead & Buried to Georgia Manufacturer of the Year

Life (as well as professional life) often takes unexpected turns. Just when you think you know what is about to happen, it changes and knocks you off your feet. Success does not come easy, it does not come with step-by-step directions, and it does not come overnight. However, when the team, the plan and the execution come together, the story can have a happy ending. Melissa F. Wright will detail the real-life story of how an existing plant went from being rationalized to being celebrated. She’ll share how her site fought to survive and then thrive as a 38-year-old "start-up" company using practical applications of Supply Chain principles. Melissa will explain how moving from survival mode to transitioning of MRP and inventory processes & procedures to sustainable performance enabled the company to become recognized as a regional economic force.
